Oh my God, this ride up made me want to cry. It was the best ride up I could ever have. Please tell him I said thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m so happy that he and his wife made the show and thank you for the amazing kind words ❤️

Hi Glenn - I hope you get this! I really want to thank you for the beautifully written review you did for my album ('Moon Over Mildmay'). I've been finding my way alone for so long, your review was my first proper one, and you can't imagine what it meant to me. I read through it and burst into tears. Thank you for all you said, especially for recognizing the contribution of my incredible band. But thank you most of all, Glenn, for understanding so well. Best wishes,

Tina Carr

Brilliant Glenn. It's great to read them all, and I appreciate you spending your time on these. So detailed and really take me back to the gigs. X

Jo Harrop & Jamie McCredie - Weathering The Storm Duo - Greenote

The first time Glenn wrote a review and sent it to me, rather nervously, I was absolutely blown away by the depths he explored in his jazz reviews, detailing each song, every player, the lyrics, the solos, and the in-between banter. Most importantly, he seemed to grasp our essence - what we were trying to achieve both in live music experiences and recorded work.

He pays such close attention to detail that I even encouraged me to listen more carefully to my songs and reflect on their meanings beyond my own perspective - what had he discovered and heard that I had not yet considered?

Glenn undoubtedly has a talent for understanding each artist he writes about. He takes an extra level of care to delve into their thoughts and celebrate their art from both an audience's perspective and that of the musicians themselves.

Glenn pours over his words, releasing them with as much care as the records he reviews might have received.

Almost a mini short story that overlooks nothing and appreciates everything.

He makes you sit down and read, take time, pour a good cup of coffee, and enjoy - just as we do with vinyl. You cannot skip the tracks, ignore the bass solo, or miss the lyrics… Glenn’s reviews, give each artist the time and appreciation that their hard labor of love deserves.

"Her voice is delicious. When she sings, she moves me. Jo Harrop is a very fine jazz singer... a superb and unimaginably good vocalist."
